Return Policy & Right of Withdrawal – Beauty As Well
By placing an order on our website, you agree to the following return policy conditions. Our terms comply with EU Directive 2011/83/EU and applicable consumer protection legislation.
Not satisfied? No problem. As a customer you are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period, product exchange, refund and professional advice. Please read the full conditions per product category below.
Article 1 – Statutory Right of Withdrawal (EU Directive 2011/83/EU)
The consumer has the right to withdraw from the agreement within 14 calendar days of receipt, without giving reasons. However, this right is not unlimited — the law explicitly provides for exceptions per product category, as explained below.
Article 2 – Professional Range & Liability
- Our range consists exclusively of professional products intended for professional use. As a consumer, you accept this upon purchase.
- We sell exclusively original products and provide extensive information on correct use (keratin, protein treatments, etc.).
- The end result depends on factors beyond our control: hair type, hair damage, application technique, tools used and temperature.
- Failure to achieve the desired result does not entitle the customer to a refund, replacement or any form of compensation.
Important: By placing an order, the customer confirms having read the product information and possessing the required professional knowledge, or accepts responsibility for use without a professional background.
Article 3 – Cooling-Off Period
- You are entitled to a cooling-off period of 14 calendar days from the day of receipt.
- For orders delivered in multiple shipments, the cooling-off period starts only after the last part has been received.
Attention – Hygiene products: Trimmers, shavers, clippers and blades are delivered in sealed packaging. Once the seal is broken, the right of withdrawal lapses. Returns are no longer possible.
Article 4 – Inspecting the Product
You may unpack and inspect the product — only to the extent necessary to assess its properties, as you would in a physical store. Permitted use:
Use beyond inspection results in depreciation in value. If the returned product shows damage, signs of use or is missing parts, only the remaining value will be refunded.
Article 5 – Used Products – No Returns
Products such as shampoo, keratin, protein and other care products will not be accepted for return if they have been opened or used.
- Only unopened, unused products in original, undamaged packaging qualify for return.
- Products with an expiry date must not be opened for a full refund.
- The customer is solely responsible for performing an allergy test (patch test) before first use. We are not liable for allergic reactions or skin irritations.
Article 6 – Used Tools & Equipment – No Returns
Tools such as trimmers, clippers, straighteners and hair dryers that have been used will not be accepted for return. "Used" means: visible signs of use, hair residue, scratches, used accessories or missing protective film/seal.
Depreciation for use:
- Signs of use: up to 50% depreciation
- Serious damage, missing parts or damaged packaging: up to 100% depreciation – return refused
- beautyaswell.com unilaterally determines the depreciation. The customer accepts this upon placing the order.
Article 7 – Return of Ineligible Items
If a used item is returned that does not qualify, beautyaswell.com reserves the right to:
- Destroy the item without further notice, or
- Return the item at the customer's expense.
- beautyaswell.com is not obliged to issue a refund for items returned in a used condition.
- We are not liable for damage caused by improper use, failure to follow instructions or negligent maintenance.
Article 8 – Warranty on Tools & Equipment
The warranty period is one year (professional use). The warranty covers only manufacturing defects on the motor and battery.
No warranty on wear parts
Blades and shaver heads are not covered. The warranty also lapses in case of:
- Self-repair, modification or use of non-original parts
- Water damage, impact damage or improper use
- Commercial overuse, neglect or rough handling
- Failure to follow the user instructions or manual
Reporting deadline: A defect must be reported within 14 days of discovery by e-mail. After this, all rights to repair or replacement lapse.
Article 9 – Free Promotional Products
- Free promotional products must be included in any return. Returns without them will not be accepted.
- Free products cannot be exchanged or substituted for another item.
- Free promotional products are not covered by warranty.
Article 10 – Problems Upon Delivery
Report within 2 days of receipt, with clear photos of:
- The products
- The box (inside and outside)
- The shipping label
- The complete contents of the delivery
Reports without the above images will not be processed.
For defective tools, in 90% of cases we ensure you receive the repaired device back within three weeks.
Article 11 – Refunds
- Refund within 14 days of receipt of the return, via the same payment method.
- For a full return, the original shipping costs are also refunded.
- For a partial return, shipping costs are not refunded.
- If a more expensive shipping option was chosen, only the standard shipping rate is reimbursed.
- No additional costs are charged for processing the refund.
- beautyaswell.com reserves the right to wait until all products have been received in good condition before issuing the refund.
Article 12 – Exceptions to the Right of Return
- Opened or used hair care products (shampoo, keratin, protein…)
- Used tools and equipment (trimmers, clippers, straighteners, hair dryers…)
- Hygiene products whose seal has been broken
- Products from the outlet or return deals section
Article 13 – Return Costs & Procedure
Return costs are at the customer's expense: €14.95 incl. VAT.
- Step 1: Register your return via our official return form within 14 days. Other methods are not accepted.
- Step 2: Receive your return label — valid for 7 days. Use the original packaging where possible.
- Step 3: Send the fully and correctly packaged parcel to our return address.
- Step 4: After receipt and inspection, the refund will follow within 14 days.
Article 14 – Liability
- Our liability is at all times limited to the purchase price of the relevant product.
- We are not liable for consequential damage, loss of income, loss of profit or indirect damage of any kind.
- We are not liable for damage caused by improper use, failure to follow the manual or negligent maintenance.
- Failure to achieve the desired result does not give any right to a refund, replacement or compensation.
How do we calculate the refund?
Two concrete examples to clarify how the refund amount is calculated:
Example 1 – Full return
You buy a product for €20 and pay €2.95 in shipping costs. You return it unopened and in good condition. Refund: €22.95 (product + shipping).
Example 2 – Partial return
You buy two products (€20 + €30) and pay €2.95 in shipping. You return only the €20 product. Refund: €20 (no shipping refund for partial returns).
Example 3 – Used tool
You buy a clipper for €80, open it and use it. Hair residue and signs of use are found upon return. beautyaswell.com determines 100% depreciation. No refund. The item will be destroyed or returned at your expense.
