Leave-in mask and hair oil
When to choose the leave-in mask or the hair oil
K18 makes two leave-in products, and they belong to two different moments. The K18 Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask goes on straight after the wash, on towel-dried hair, and stays in for 4 minutes. The K18 Molecular Repair Hair Oil comes after it: on damp, towel-dried hair before styling, or on dry hair as a finisher.
Why a K18 leave-in
The mask cares for and strengthens damaged hair in 4 minutes, and it is described as improving elasticity, with less breakage. The oil is weightless and silicone-free, made for all hair types; it cares for damaged hair, leaving it shiny and less frizzy.

Application
- Mask: wash thoroughly, towel-dry, apply, wait 4 minutes and leave it in.
- Oil: start with 1 to 3 drops and build up as needed, from the mid-lengths to the ends.
- Long or thick hair: work the mask through section by section.
- Fine hair: start the oil at the low end of the 1-to-3-drop range.
Combine your system
The wash comes first. The mask's directions start with the K18 Peptide Prep™ Detox Shampoo or the Maintenance Shampoo, the earlier name of the K18 DAMAGE SHIELD pH Protective Shampoo. After the mask, the oil's own tip adds the oil and a second wait before styling.
