How the professional system works
The smoothing happens in two core steps: a preparation cleanses the hair deeply and opens the cuticle, then the tannin step is applied and sealed in with the flat iron. The active ingredients are plant tannins, tannic acid together with extracts of Stryphnodendron, Piptadenia and Tabebuia, which bind to the proteins in the hair fibre and smooth it from within. Around that core sit modular treatment steps for hydration, reconstruction and curls, so you tune the protocol to the hair goal. No product in the range contains formaldehyde or a formaldehyde-releasing ingredient.
