Wahl Clipper Oil 118.3ml (4 FL. OZ.) is WAHL's oil for the blades of your clippers and trimmers. How do you oil a clipper? WAHL's direction answers it in one line: 2 or 3 drops of oil between the blades. Made in the USA. The bottle carries a danger warning, harmful or fatal if swallowed; the full statement is under Safety below.

Why oil between cuts
On a full day a clipper is oiled more than once. WAHL's direction is to oil after every few haircuts, so the bottle belongs on the station, within reach between clients, rather than in a drawer. Oiling is one step of its own: the hair comes out of the teeth first, the oil goes in after.
Who it is not for
- Skin, hair or beard - it is an oil for blades, not a grooming oil
- Cooling or cleaning the blade - that is a spray's job: the Wahl Blade Ice Spray 400ml
- Anywhere a child can reach it - the warning under Safety says why
Professional tip
Brush the hair out of the teeth before you oil, then run the clipper for a few seconds so the oil spreads through the blade. Wipe off the excess before you go back to the client, so the oil stays on the blade and off the client.
How to use
- Switch the clipper off, and unplug it if it is corded.
- Brush the cut hair out of the teeth.
- Put 2 or 3 drops of oil between the blades.
- Switch on, let it run briefly, switch off and wipe off the excess.
- Repeat after every few haircuts.
Your WAHL care routine
Clean first, oil last. Brush the teeth with the Wahl Cleaning Brush, use the Wahl Blade Ice Spray 400ml when the blade needs cooling and cleaning, and then oil. Between uses, keep the bottle closed, upright and out of children's reach.
Complete your WAHL care kit
- Clean before you oil - a brush for the teeth, a spray for the blade
- Another size - two more WAHL blade oils
- Round out the station - a place to lay the tools
