The JRL 3000C x Diamante Trio Kit Black (three machines) puts the 3000C compact cordless clipper, the Diamante cordless trimmer and the Onyx SF Pro SH2301 foil shaver on one station. It is for the barber who cuts, lines up and finishes bald in one service. The 3000C runs a brushless motor at 7800 RPM and its blade lever locks at five set positions, so the guard height is repeatable between clients. The shaver runs JRL's magnetic blade levitation system for lower running noise. All three take 100-240V, 50/60Hz.

Motors: three cordless - brushless 7800 RPM clipper, brushless 8200 RPM trimmer, rotary 8000 RPM shaver

Runtime: 2 hours on the clipper, up to 2 hours on the trimmer, 3 hours on the shaver

Charging: 2 hours for the clipper, 2 hours fast charge or 3 hours on the Reset IQ cycle for the trimmer, 2 hours for the shaver

Cutting: 0,25-3 mm on the clipper, 0-0,5 mm on the trimmer, no length setting on the shaver

Guards: six with the clipper (1,5 / 3 / 4,5 / 6 / 10 / 13 mm), five with the trimmer (1,5 / 3 / 6 / 8 / 10 mm)

Power: 100-240V, 50/60Hz on all three machines

In the kit: three machines, eleven guards, oil, brushes and the adjustment tools

Why barbers buy the three together

A fade, a line-up and a bald finish are three jobs, and each wants its own blade geometry. The 3000C carries the JRL Fade blade and opens from 0,25 to 3 mm on the lever. The Diamante carries a T-blade that closes to zero and is built for edges. The SH2301 carries an ultra-thin foil over an anti-clogging head, which lets it work flat on skin.

Key features

  • Five-position lock lever on the clipper - the taper setting holds where you put it, so the guard height is repeatable between clients.
  • Zero-gap capable - clipper and trimmer are both designed to be set to zero gap, and both ship with the tool for it.
  • Smart-Clip constant speed on the trimmer, JRL's patented system for holding motor speed under load.
  • Cold Blade Technology on the Diamante, with a titanium-coated stainless fixed blade against a DLC-coated moving blade.
  • Magnetic blade levitation in the shaver, JRL's named system for running the head with less noise, over an anti-clogging construction.
  • LED indicators - runtime and charge on the clipper, battery level on the shaver.

What to expect on the chair

The 3000C is compact by design rather than by compromise. It sits shorter in the hand, which helps close to the ear and around the crown. The Diamante is the finishing half of the pair, with a motor rated up to 3000 hours and built to run quietly. The SH2301 is rated for 3 hours of running on a 2 hour charge.

Who it is for

  • Barbers who cut, line up and finish bald in the same service
  • Anyone building a second station or a mobile set
  • Barbers doing a lot of skin fades who are tired of borrowing a shaver between chairs

Who it is not for

  • Barbers removing bulk from very dense hair all day - a full-size JRL clipper is the better main machine
  • Anyone who only cuts and lines up; the Duo Kit is the same pair without the shaver
  • Buyers who want a dryer in the box - that sits in the Barber Station

Professional tip

Set your gaps dry, before the first client, always in the same order: clipper, trimmer, then the shaver foil. Our rule on the clipper is to run the lever through all five lock positions with the machine on, listening for a clean note at each stop. That gives you a confirmed baseline, so a soft line means one variable to check instead of three.

How to use

  1. Charge all three fully before the first service; the clipper and the shaver each take 2 hours.
  2. Set the clipper lever to the lock position you want, so the guard height is one you can return to.
  3. Work the bulk and the taper with the 3000C, climbing through the six guard sizes as the cut rises.
  4. Switch to the Diamante for the outline, temples and neckline, where its T-blade closes and the clipper stops.
  5. Finish the bald areas and the neck with the SH2301, flat, letting the foil sit on the skin.
  6. Brush all three heads clear between clients.
  7. Oil the clipper and trimmer blades at the end of the day and stand each machine back on its charger.

Safety. Clipper and trimmer blades can both be set to zero gap. A blade that close sits very near the skin, so check the exposure before you take it to a client. Replace the shaver foil if it is dented or torn, because a damaged foil can scratch. Keep all three machines and their lithium-ion batteries away from water and heat, and charge only with the adapters supplied. Keep them from children, and stop using any machine with a damaged blade, foil, cable or adapter.

Care and maintenance

Brush all three heads clear after every client, and oil the clipper and trimmer blades at day's end. No water rating is printed for the shaver, so clean it dry with its brush rather than rinsing it. Blades and shaving heads are wear parts, which is why they sit outside warranty cover. Noise after a blade swap is usually an adjustment matter, so re-seat and re-align first. Our Service and Repairs page sets out what the guarantee covers.

In short

  • Three cordless machines - 7800 RPM clipper, 8200 RPM trimmer, 8000 RPM shaver.
  • Cut, line and finish - 0,25-3 mm on the lever, 0-0,5 mm on the T-blade, foil finish on the shaver.
  • Eleven guards, plus oil, brushes and the adjustment tools.
  • All three on 100-240V, each with its own charger.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose the Fade blade or the other blade version of the 3000C?

This kit carries the Fade blade, which JRL builds for clean, even fades. The Taper blade version is the one to pick if most of your work is bulk removal and general taper cutting rather than fading. Both open from 0,25 to 3 mm on the lever, so the difference is the blade geometry and the job it is cut for, not the range.

What does each of the three machines actually do?

The clipper takes hair down with guards across a 0,25 to 3 mm range and does the fade. The trimmer runs a T-blade that closes to 0 mm and does outlines, edges and the neckline. The shaver runs a foil flat on the skin for bald finishes and the neck. The foil shaver is the one most often misread - it finishes an area, it does not cut a line, so it does not replace the trimmer.

Do I still need to oil the blades?

Yes, every day you use them. There is a widespread belief that modern coated blades are self-lubricating and can be left alone, and it is wrong - skipped oiling is one of the most common reasons a machine starts running hot, pulling hair or losing its edge. The clipper and the trimmer both ship with oil for exactly this reason. The shaver foil is not oiled; it is brushed clean and replaced when it wears.

Can the blades be zero-gapped, and does that affect the guarantee?

The clipper and the trimmer are both designed to be set to zero gap and both ship with the tool for it, so adjusting them is routine maintenance rather than a modification. Worth knowing separately: cutting blades and shaving heads are wear parts and are not covered by warranty in any case, and noise after you have re-gapped or replaced a blade is treated as an adjustment matter, not a manufacturing defect.

Can I rinse the shaver head under the tap?

We would not. JRL prints no water rating on this shaver, and without a stated rating there is nothing to tell you how much water the housing is built to keep out. Clean it dry with the brush supplied, lift the head to clear the cuttings, and keep water away from the body and the charging contacts.

Do the three machines share a charger?

No. Yes. The 3000C has its own charging stand and the Diamante has its Reset IQ dock, and each comes with a mains adapter, so you can leave both standing on the station. They do not share a single charger, which means two sockets rather than one. The shaver has its own mains adapter as well and can also be run corded from it, so plan for three sockets on the station rather than one.

Can I use this set abroad?

All three machines are rated 100-240V, 50/60Hz, so they work on both mains standards and you need only a plug adapter, not a voltage converter. That is a plug shape question, not a power question.
