How do you start? The perfect preparation

Important steps beforehand

• Do a strand test: always important, especially on bleached or sensitive hair. Test on a small section before you start the full treatment.
• Work safely: wear gloves, work in a well-ventilated room and avoid direct contact with skin, eyes and scalp.
• Gather the right tools: have sectioning clips, a brush, gloves, a hairdryer and a professional flat iron (adjustable between 180 and 230 °C) at hand.

Step-by-step treatment guide

1. 1
   Deep cleansing

   Start by cleansing the hair with the Silk Express Tanino Blend Cleansing Shampoo to remove build-up and residue completely. Blow-dry the hair fully, no damp strands.

   Section the hair

   Divide the hair into 6 equal sections. This gives an even product distribution and makes the ironing easier.

   Apply the treatment

   With a brush, apply the Silk Express Protein Treatment about 1 cm from the scalp. Work section by section with long, smooth strokes.

   Let it process

   Leave the product to process for 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the hair type and thickness.

   Rinse partially

   Rinse out about 60% of the product. Leave a small amount in to support the thermal activation.

   Dry the hair

   Blow-dry the hair completely without brushing the product out.

   Iron the hair

   Take thin sections of 1 to 2 cm and press each section 10 to 20 times with a flat iron at 180 to 230 °C. Adjust the heat to the hair type and its sensitivity for the best result.

   Hydrate with the mask

   Rinse the hair and apply the Silk Express Intense Shine Mask. Leave it for 5 minutes before rinsing.

   Conditioner for pH balance

   Apply the Silk Express Smoothing Conditioner to balance the pH and restore softness. Rinse thoroughly.

    Finishing touch

    Finish the style with a few drops of Silk Express Tanino Blend Serum Oil. Blow-dry to boost the shine.
