The Wahl Cordless Barber Combo is a cord/cordless clipper and trimmer set. The Black Cordless Magic Clip (6500 RPM) takes the bulk and the fade; the Black Cordless Detailer Li (6700 RPM) takes the outline. Both share one power supply and come with 3 guides each. One carton covers both passes; if you would rather have a clipper and a trimmer in separate cartons, we also sell our own Wahl Fade & Line Duo Kit.

Why the Barber Combo
The clipper takes the bulk and builds the fade, then the trimmer draws the outline, so the trimmer's blade is kept for the line. In the hand, you hold the Magic Clip for most of the cut and the Detailer Li only for the finish.

Professional tip
On the clipper, step the guides down from 4.5 mm to 3.0 mm and then 1.5 mm as the fade comes down. Bring the trimmer in only for the edge, so it just finishes the line.
How to use
- Before the first client, brush the blades clean and oil them with clipper oil.
- Set the trimmer with the Pro-Set tool. Its carton prints: “Precisely adjust blades to zero-gap with included alignment tool”. Then, with the machine off, check that the moving blade sits behind the edge of the fixed blade before it touches skin.
- Take the bulk and build the blend with the clipper, working against the growth and changing guides as the fade comes down.
- Set the outline with the trimmer: stretch the skin with your free hand and use light pressure.
- Switch everything off before you put the machines down.
Care and maintenance
After each client, switch off and brush the hair from the teeth and around the blades with a soft, dry brush. Then wipe the housings with a dry cloth. Oil the blades at the end of the day, and whenever a blade starts to drag. Put a few drops of clipper oil across the teeth, run the machine for a few seconds and wipe off the excess. Clean everything dry: never rinse a machine under the tap or put it in liquid.

What is in the box?

Which machine does which job?
The Magic Clip takes the bulk and builds the blend. The Detailer Li sets the outline and the fine lines, with a 0.4 mm cutting length.
How long do the machines run on a charge?
The clipper runs 120 min on a 60 min charge and the trimmer 100 min on a 45 min charge. Both also work with the cord.
Can the blades be set to zero-gap?
Yes: the trimmer blades adjust to zero-gap with the included Pro-Set alignment tool. Only adjust them with the machine off, then check the blade.
Can I rinse the machines under the tap?
No. Clean them dry with a brush. Never rinse them under the tap or put them in liquid, and keep them and their cords away from wet surfaces at the station.
Do the blades need oil?
Yes, both blades do: a few drops of clipper oil at the end of the day, and whenever a blade starts to drag.
