Wahl Set: 5-Star Legend+ + Vanish Shaver is a set of two machines we put together ourselves: the 5-Star Legend+ clipper and the 5-Star Vanish Shaver. The Legend+ is the one carrying the numbers, and it is the only clipper on this shelf whose carton names the blade material.

Why these two
The two do different work. A clipper takes bulk off and blends; a foil shaver is the machine for the last pass. We paired them because they get picked up one after the other in the same chair. The Legend+ cuts from 0.7 to 1.7 mm, a longer fade range than most machines on this shelf, and that is where this set lands.
Legend+ features
- The blade is named Precision Wedge Blade With Long Fade Range.
- The blade material is printed on the carton, which is rare on this shelf: "High-carbon steel blades
with titanium and diamond-like carbon (DLC) coatings". WAHL calls them "ultra-strong, rust resistant". A DLC coating is hard-wearing; you still oil the blade posts as usual.
- The housing is named New All-Metal Housing.
- WAHL writes of the blade: "Wedge blade is engineered for smooth feeding and precise cutting
performance."
- The rating plate reads MADE IN USA.
What to expect in the hand
The Legend+ weighs 10.7 oz | 304g and its housing is all metal. It is the heaviest machine in this wave, and the weight sits where you want it for bulk work.
