Professional tip

Let the foils do the work: keep light pressure and short passes, and let the head float flat over the skin, working with the grain before you move across it so the finish stays smooth. Because it is IPX7, rinse the head under the tap between clients to clear the cut hair fast.

How to use

Charge fully over USB Type-C before the first pass.
Hold the head flat to the skin and move in short, light strokes.
Go with the grain first, then across it; let the central blade catch the longer hairs.
Lift the foil head off and rinse it under running water, then let it dry.
Switch back to the BOOSTED UP Clipper or BOOSTED Trimmer for shaping and lines.

Safety: This is a bladed powered tool. Keep light pressure on the skin, keep the foil head and blades away from fingertips when it is running, keep it out of the reach of children, and let it stop fully before you remove the foil head. Is the Gamma+ BOOSTED Shaver waterproof - can I use it wet and rinse it?

It is rated IPX7 water-resistant, which means it withstands submersion in water for 30 minutes at up to 1 metre - so you can shave wet or dry, use it with water or foam, and rinse the head and body clean under running water. Unplug the USB Type-C cable first and never charge it while it is wet. IPX7 covers real use and rinsing, but it is not made to sit soaking.

What is the central blade for?

The head carries two ultra-thin gold-titanium foils for a clean, close finish and one central trimming blade set between them to catch longer hairs. It means stubble and stray growth come down on the same pass, so you seldom need a separate trimmer step before the shave.

How is it different from the XCEED Shaver and the Boosted One Foil?

All three are foil shavers. The BOOSTED is the washable one - IPX7 water-resistant, with a dual foil plus central blade and a super-torque motor at 11,000 RPM. The XCEED Shaver has the Vector IN2 motor with I.T.C. torque control and no water rating. The single-foil Boosted One Foil has a narrow head for lines and tight, hard-to-reach spots.

Can I change the head - is there a triple head?

Yes. It ships with a head that has two gold-titanium foils and a central trimming blade. A replacement head with 3 blades and a replacement 2-foil gold-titanium head are available separately as spare parts, along with replacement Crunchy blades, so you can swap or renew the head.

How long does it run and how do I charge it?

A full Li-ion charge gives 120 minutes of cordless shaving, and the 3-LED window shows the charge left. It charges over a USB Type-C cable, and the charger is rated 100 - 240 V so it works on any mains voltage worldwide with the right plug adapter.

Do I still need to oil the foils and blade?

Yes. The gold-titanium foils and the staggered Crunchy blades still need a drop of oil after cleaning to run cool and cut cleanly - rinsing clears the hair but does not lubricate. Lift the foil head, brush and rinse it, let it dry, then add a drop of oil to the blade.
