Brazil Protein
Brazil Protein is a Brazilian professional smoothing brand. Its salon systems work on frizz and volume through a cysteamine and cysteine reducer, with no glyoxylic acid and no formaldehyde, while a matching home-care range helps keep the result going between appointments.
One chemistry, six professional lines
What ties the range together is the mechanism. The straightening systems Bio Lamination, Nano Gel, Bioplastia Vegan and BTOX all rely on the same cysteamine and cysteine reducer, activated by fruit acids, so you can explain how the service works the same way to every client. Alongside them sit SOS Protein for reconstruction and Mix Brazilian Oil for finishing.
Salon system, home upkeep
A Brazil Protein service usually runs in two steps. The professional product is applied behind the chair to smooth, reduce volume or reconstruct; the matching home care then keeps that result looking fresh between appointments. Most stylists use both: the salon system and its take-home follow-up.
Where to start
The professional side: smoothing and volume-reduction systems, reconstruction and finishing, all on the same cysteamine and cysteine chemistry and sized for the backbar.
The take-home side: shampoos, conditioners and masks that maintain the salon result, including Bio Lamination, Supreme Repair, Nutrition Power, Blond Vegan and Day by Day.
Frequently asked questions
Which Brazil Protein line fits my client's hair?
The four straightening systems cover different needs: Bio Lamination and Nano Gel for classic smoothing on frizzy to medium textures, Bioplastia Vegan as a further smoothing option, and BTOX for volume reduction with a conditioning finish. SOS Protein reconstructs the fibre and Mix Brazilian Oil finishes with shine. Assess the hair and choose per client.
Does Brazil Protein contain formaldehyde or glyoxylic acid?
The smoothing systems Bio Lamination, Nano Gel, Bioplastia Vegan and BTOX use a cysteamine and cysteine reducer and are worked without glyoxylic acid or formaldehyde. Other products in the range have their own formulas, so always check the individual product page and label for the full ingredient list.
Is the range vegan?
Not the whole range. Names like Bioplastia Vegan and Blond Vegan refer to specific lines, and some other products contain ingredients of animal origin, for example Nano Gel. So we do not describe Brazil Protein as a vegan brand. If a client needs a vegan product, check its status on that product's page before recommending it.
Can my client maintain the result at home?
Yes. The home-care range, shampoos, conditioners and masks, is designed to maintain the salon result between appointments. Match the client's hair goal to a line such as Bio Lamination, Nutrition Power or Supreme Repair, and recommend a gentle routine rather than promising a fixed number of weeks.
How do I use Brazil Protein safely in the salon?
Treat it like any professional smoothing service: work in a well-ventilated space, wear gloves, follow the timings on the product and do a patch test. Keep the specific how-to on each product page to hand for the exact method and sizes.
