Wahl Set: Vapor CE Championship Edition + Hi-Viz Trimmer + Vanish Shaver is a set of three machines we put together ourselves. It is the same clipper and the same trimmer as in our set of two, with the shaver added. The Vapor CE cuts from 0.5 to 1.2 mm at 8000 RPM, the Hi-Viz trimmer runs at 7200 RPM, and both adjust to zero-gap.

What is in the set

We put this set together. It is not a WAHL carton. If you want it without the shaver, that is our set of two.

Why these three

This is the order of a cut, in three machines. The clipper takes the bulk off and blends down to 0.5 mm. The trimmer then sets the line with its T-shape. And a foil shaver is the machine for the last pass, once the line is standing.

What separates this set from the same three steps with the standard Vapor is printed on the CE's carton and not on ours: the blade carries oil grooves. WAHL puts it this way: *"New Drift Technology adds oil grooves to reduce friction, allowing blades to run smooth and cooler."* With the footnote WAHL prints itself: *"vs. standard blade set in lab testing."* That is a claim about the shape of the blade, not about lubrication: you oil the blade posts as often as you always did.

Vapor CE features

The blade is named F32 FADEOUT BLADE and carries 32 fine ball-pointed teeth.
The blade technology is named Drift Technology and the speed control Adaptive Speed Control.

Names, and the carton says no more about either.

WAHL writes on the back: "Go from bald to fade with an innovative adjustable balding blade."
This is the Championship Edition: a 26 shield on the carton, LIMITED EDITION 26 on the machine.
The rating plate reads Made in China.

Hi-Viz features

The blade adjusts to zero-gap. WAHL names it "DLC Coated Extra Wide Blade".
The housing carries the name "All-Metal COMFORTCURVE® Design".
It charges over USB-C. WAHL writes: "USB-C charge option for convenience."
The rating plate reads MADE IN USA.

What to expect in the hand

The Vapor CE weighs 280 g / 9.9 oz., the Hi-Viz 208 g / 7.2 oz. The heavier machine is the one that takes the bulk off; that is not an accident and you feel it on the first pass. No weight for the shaver is given here.

Who it is for

Barbers who want the whole cut in three machines on the counter.
Anyone who wants to go to zero-gap: that is printed on the clipper's and the trimmer's cartons.
Anyone working long days: the Vapor CE runs up to 2.5 hours, the Hi-Viz up to 130 min.

Who it is not for

If the shaver is no use to you, take the set of two: same clipper, same trimmer. If you want these three steps without the Championship Edition finish, look at the Wahl clippers.
