Wahl Set: cordless Senior + stealth Beret Trimmer + Vanish Shaver is a set of three machines we put together ourselves. The Senior is the clipper: 46 mm blade, variable taper from 0.5 to 1.2 mm, up to 80 min. of run time. The stealth Beret is the slim trimmer with a detachable blade, up to 75 min. And the shaver comes after them.

The figures above are printed on the Senior's own carton: the blade width as a dimension on the blade drawing, the taper and the run time on the front panel. For the Beret the carton prints too few running and measurement figures for a block of its own; what it does print is below, in its features. No figure applies to the set: three machines are three machines.

What is in the set

We put this set together. It is not a WAHL carton. Without the trimmer it is our set of two with the Senior; without the clipper, our set of two with the Beret.

Why these three

This is the order of a cut, in three machines. The clipper takes the bulk off and blends, with a taper from 0.5 to 1.2 mm. The trimmer then sets the line and the outlines; WAHL writes of the Beret on the carton: "Designed for sharp lines, detail work and outlining - cuts very close to the skin." And a foil shaver is the machine for the last pass, once the line is standing.

What the first two share is printed on both rating plates: MADE IN USA. What separates them is on the front: on the Senior HEAVY DUTY METAL CASE, on the Beret a detachable blade and a slim shape. The first is the machine with the metal case, the second the slim one.

The blade is 46 mm wide and adjusts to zero-gap.
WAHL describes it on the carton as "High precision chrome plated blade adjusts to zero-gap".
The taper is variable from 0.5 to 1.2 mm and is set on the lever.
The housing carries the name "HEAVY DUTY METAL CASE".
Runs corded and cordless.
The rating plate reads MADE IN USA.

Beret features

WAHL writes on the carton what it is for: "Designed for outlines, detail work and contours - cuts

very close to the skin."

The blade detaches. The carton reads: "High-precision, quick detach chrome-plated BLADES."
Up to 75 min run time, corded and cordless, Li-ION.
The rating plate reads MADE IN USA; the front additionally carries

DESIGNED & ENGINEERED IN THE USA.

Four attachment combs, exactly as the carton prints them: 3mm, 6mm, 10mm and 13mm. The

carton gives no count.

What to expect in the hand

Neither carton gives a weight. What they do print: on the Senior "HEAVY DUTY METAL CASE" and a case made of metal; on the Beret "super-slim" and "light in weight". Those are descriptions of shape, not measurements.

Who it is for

Barbers working clipper-over-comb: that is what WAHL puts the Senior to on the back of the carton.
Anyone setting the line and the outlines with a slim trimmer with a detachable blade.
Anyone who wants the whole cut in three machines on the counter.

Who it is not for

If the trimmer is no use to you, there is our set of two with the Senior; if the clipper is no use to you, the set of two with the Beret. If you want a clipper with a printed speed, look at the Wahl clippers - the Senior's carton does not give one.
