Piur London Hydraluxe Moisture Infusion (1000 ml) is the core of the Hydraluxe protocol: the step for lengths and ends that are dry, porous or feel coated without ever feeling replenished. Piur London describes its Silky Beetonic System as deep, weightless hydration that improves softness and manageability without weighing the hair down. It stays on damp lengths and ends for 10 to 15 minutes, with gentle heat optional, and is rinsed before the Balm.

At a glance
  • What it is: The core hydration step of the Hydraluxe protocol, Silky Beetonic System
  • Hair type: Lengths and ends with reduced softness or manageability from dryness; never the scalp
  • Key actives: Betaine, trehalose, a cationic conditioning matrix, coconut, avocado and palm oils, vitamin E
  • Processing time: 10 to 15 minutes, gentle heat optional, then rinse
  • Format: 1000 ml, professional use

Why the hydration step comes after the purify and cleanse

Moisture Infusion is where Hydraluxe does its hydrating, and it takes best on a fibre that has been cleared and cleansed first. Betaine and trehalose bring the moisture, and behentrimonium methosulfate and dicetyldimonium chloride form the conditioning matrix with a lipid-rich base of oils. Its limit is Piur London's own: on hair carrying heavy mineral build-up, the answer is Prime D-Tox first, not a longer application of this step.

Key ingredients

  • Betaine: a sugar beet derived amino acid.
  • Trehalose: a humectant.
  • Behentrimonium methosulfate and dicetyldimonium chloride: the cationic conditioning matrix.
  • Coconut, avocado and palm oils: the lipid-rich base.
  • Tocopheryl acetate: vitamin E.

What to expect

Softer, more manageable lengths. The finish shows once the Balm is on.

Who it is for

  • Lengths and ends that are dry, porous or feel coated without feeling replenished
  • Hair with reduced softness or manageability from dryness
  • Salons running the full Hydraluxe protocol

Who it is not for

  • Hair carrying heavy mineral build-up without Prime D-Tox first
  • The scalp: lengths and ends only
  • Home use: it is a professional product

Professional tip

If the lengths still feel coated after the rinse, the fault is build-up, not too little time. Next visit, start with Prime D-Tox rather than leaving this on longer.

How to use

Two ways to work it: Piur London's directions, and the way we run it in the salon, with the timing left to Method A.

Method A: manufacturer method

  1. Apply evenly to damp lengths and ends, off the scalp.
  2. Leave for 10 to 15 minutes. A gentle heat source may be used if the protocol calls for it.
  3. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Proceed to Hydraluxe Balm.

Method B: the Brazilian method

  1. Squeeze out the water, section, then apply to mid-lengths and ends, off the scalp. Salon practice, not one of Piur London's steps.
  2. Comb through to even it out.
  3. Leave within the Method A range: the long end on very dry or porous lengths. Heat optional.
  4. Rinse thoroughly, then the Balm.
Safety: Professional use only. Apply to lengths and ends only, off the scalp. Do not use in place of Prime D-Tox when the hair carries heavy mineral build-up.

Where it fits in the Piur London range

Moisture Infusion is the centre of Hydraluxe: Prime D-Tox, then Hydraluxe Shampoo, then Moisture Infusion, each rinsed, then the Balm, which stays in. At home, Hydraluxe Mask Home Care is the client's deep step. The salon protocol sits in Piur London Professional.

Complete and maintain the system

  • Prime D-Tox (500 ml): the purify step that opens the service
  • Hydraluxe Shampoo (1000 ml): the cleansing step before it
  • Hydraluxe Balm (300 g): the leave-in finish after it
  • Hydraluxe Mask Home Care (200 g): the client's mask at home
  • Piur London Professional: the salon protocols
  • Piur London: every Piur range, chosen by hair concern

Frequently asked questions

Is heat required during the treatment?

No. A gentle heat source may be used if the protocol calls for it; it is optional, and Piur London gives no temperature.

Can the Hydraluxe steps be skipped or used out of order?

Each step points to the next, so the intended order is purify, cleanse, infuse, seal: Prime D-Tox, Hydraluxe Shampoo, Moisture Infusion, Balm. Each of the first three is rinsed before moving on; the Balm is the only step that stays in the hair.

Can Hydraluxe be used on colour-treated or chemically treated hair?

Yes. Piur London does not restrict Hydraluxe on coloured, bleached or otherwise chemically treated hair; the line is built for fibre that reads dry or porous, whatever the cause.

When is Prime D-Tox needed first?

When the hair carries heavy mineral build-up. Piur London states that this imbalance needs Prime D-Tox first, not a longer application of Moisture Infusion.

Is Hydraluxe vegan or formaldehyde-free?

No. Piur London states that none of the four Hydraluxe professional products carries a V-Label vegan seal or a formaldehyde-free seal.
