What to expect in the hand
Cordless and slim through the body, the Detailer Li is held like a pen rather than gripped like a clipper - the point when the work is a line rather than a length. Professional tip
Use the Pro-Set tool and set the gap dry before the first line of the day, with the trimmer off and the blade clean - a blade set on a hair-loaded cut is set wrong. Bring the corner in first and let the wide T follow it, and keep the pressure light.
How to use
- Charge fully before first use on the stand or with the cord; the LED shows the charge state.
- Oil the blade: one drop at each end of the cutting edge and one in the centre; run briefly, wipe off the excess.

Care and maintenance

What does zero-gap mean, and how do I set it with the Pro-Set tool?
Zero-gap means the cutting blade is set as close to the fixed blade as it will go, with no overlap, so the cut sits right down on the skin and the line comes out sharp. The Pro-Set tool in the box is what sets it: with the trimmer switched off and the blade clean, you loosen the blade screws, seat the blade against the tool so both sides sit level, and tighten again. That is the whole reason the tool ships with the trimmer - setting a blade by eye is where most people go wrong.
Set to zero-gap, will it catch the skin?
At zero-gap the blade cuts extremely close, so it is less forgiving than a factory setting - that is the trade you make for a crisp line. Work with light pressure, keep the blade flat rather than digging the corner in, and take the first pass slowly on a new setting to learn where the line falls. If you want more margin, set the blade back off zero with the same tool, or clip on an attachment comb.
Can I use it abroad - do I need a voltage converter?
