Why the combo
A cut in the chair runs in a fixed order: the clipper takes the length and builds the blend, the trimmer sets the line, and the foil shaver finishes. The combo puts the first two in one carton, with each machine's cutting length, speed and weight kept to that machine. It carries two blades, and WAHL describes each in one line. The Taper Blade: “Free-flow taper lever allows for versatility and control.” The T-Blade: “Zero-gap adjustable for clean hits and clear lines.”
Who it is not for

Professional tip
Brush the blade before you clip a guide on, so no hair holds the guide off the teeth, and keep each machine to its own guides.
How to use
- Charge both machines before the first client.
- Brush the blades clean and put a few drops of clipper oil across the teeth.
- Clip on a guide from that machine's own row, and work down from longer to shorter.
- Take the bulk and build the blend with the clipper, against the growth.
- Set the outline and the detail with the trimmer: skin stretched, light pressure.
- Switch both off and brush the hair out of the blades before you put them down.
Care and maintenance
After each client, switch off and brush the hair from the teeth and around each blade with a soft, dry brush, then wipe the housings with a dry cloth. At the end of the day, and whenever a blade starts to drag, put a few drops of clipper oil across the teeth, run the machine for a few seconds and wipe off the excess.
