Salvatore Tanino Therapy Intense Hydration Kit FDN Step F + Step D + Step N 3x500g is an intensive moisture regimen: three complementary masks for dry, chemically-processed or curly hair. Step D Water Replenishment puts water back into the fibre, Step N Curly Hydrolipidic brings back the oil-and-water film that dry, curly lengths lose, and Step F Chemical Control conditions and rebalances the pH after colour, lightening or a smoothing service. Worked without formaldehyde, the kit is three 500g jars, 1500g in total.

At a glance

  • Role: an intensive hydration regimen of three complementary masks
  • In the kit: Step D Water Replenishment mask 500g, Step N Curly Hydrolipidic mask 500g, Step F Chemical Control mask 500g
  • Best for: dry, porous, chemically-processed or curly hair that needs deep moisture
  • Hair type: most hair, especially dry, curly and colour-treated lengths
  • Size: 3x500g, 1500g in total (full INCI of each mask on its product image)

Why three masks

Hydration is not one thing. A fibre can be short on water, short on the oily film that holds that water in, or thrown off balance after a chemical service, and each needs a different mask. Step D, the moisture mask with moringa, macadamia and coconut oils, elastin and vitamins, puts water back into thirsty lengths. Step N, the biocollagen mask with D-Panthenol and shea butter, brings back the hydrolipidic film that dry and curly hair loses first. Step F, built on Brazilian plant tannins with collagen and keratin, conditions chemically-processed lengths and settles them back to a balanced pH. See the full INCI of each mask on its product image.

What to expect

Expect dry, dull or frizz-prone lengths to feel softer, look glossier and comb through more easily after each mask. Curly hair keeps its shape with less frizz and more definition; colour-treated lengths feel conditioned rather than rough. Because you match the mask to the need and give it its full time, the result is deeper than one all-purpose conditioner. It is a moisture and conditioning regimen, not a smoothing or straightening service, and it does not change the hair's structure.

Who it is for

  • Anyone with dry, porous or frizz-prone hair who wants deep, targeted moisture at home
  • Curly and wavy hair that needs the hydrolipidic film brought back for shine and definition
  • Colour-treated or chemically-processed lengths that need conditioning and a balanced pH

Who it is not for

  • Anyone after a smoothing or straightening result: these are moisture masks, not a smoothing service
  • Fine hair that goes limp under rich masks on the roots
  • Someone who wants one jar to cover water, lipids and pH balance all at once

Professional tip

Keep the masks to the mid-lengths and ends, away from the scalp, and towel off excess water first so the cream meets the fibre. Give each mask its full working time before you rinse, because on dry or porous lengths that even, absorbed layer is what leaves the hair soft rather than coated. For a deep intensive routine, alternate the masks across washes: water with Step D, the lipid film with Step N, and the Step F rebalance after any colour, lightening or smoothing work.

How to use

  1. Cleanse with the Tanino Therapy shampoo and towel off the excess water.
  2. Choose the mask the hair needs and apply it on the mid-lengths and ends, away from the scalp: Step D Water Replenishment to replenish moisture, Step N Curly Hydrolipidic to bring back the hydrolipidic film on dry or curly lengths, or Step F Chemical Control to condition and rebalance the pH after colour, lightening or a smoothing service.
  3. Comb through with a medium comb so the mask is evenly absorbed.
  4. Leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes.
  5. Rinse with cool or lukewarm water, removing the product completely, and finish with a blow-out or style as you wish.

For external use only. Do a patch test if the hair or scalp is sensitive. This kit contains Eugenol, Linalool, Hexyl Cinnamal and Citronellol across its masks; check the declared allergens on each product image before use. Keep out of sunlight and store below 40C. Avoid contact with the eyes; if it occurs, rinse thoroughly with running water. Keep each jar closed after use and out of reach of children and pets. If irritation occurs, stop use and seek advice.

Where it fits in your routine

The FDN kit is the intensive hydration side of the Salvatore Tanino Therapy range, sold together so you can match the mask to the need. The three masks are also sold on their own as Water Replenishment Mask Step D, Curly Hydrolipidic Mask Step N and Chemical Control Mask Step F. For a lighter daily pairing, look at the Daily Hair Nutrition Kit DE 560ml.

Frequently asked questions

What is in the FDN kit and what does each mask do?

Three masks: Step D Water Replenishment 500ml puts water back into the fibre, Step N Curly Hydrolipidic 500ml brings back the oil-and-water film with biocollagen and shea butter, and Step F Chemical Control 500ml conditions and rebalances the pH after chemical work. Together they are an intensive hydration regimen for dry, curly or colour-treated hair, worked without formaldehyde.

Do I use all three masks together?

No. Each mask is a standalone step: after cleansing, choose the one your hair needs, apply it on the lengths, leave it 20 to 30 minutes and rinse. Use Step D for water, Step N for the hydrolipidic film on dry or curly lengths, and Step F to rebalance after colour, lightening or a smoothing service. Many salons and clients alternate them across washes.

Is it a smoothing or straightening service?

No. The FDN kit is a moisture and conditioning regimen. The three masks hydrate, bring back the hydrolipidic film and rebalance the pH, but none smooths or straightens the hair and none changes its structure. If you want a smoothing service, that is a separate Tanino Therapy step with a flat-iron seal, not part of this kit.

Is it suitable for curly hair?

Yes. Step N Curly Hydrolipidic is made for dry, curly and wavy hair, restoring the oil-and-water film that curls lose first, for shine and definition with less frizz. Step D adds water and Step F conditions colour-treated or chemically-processed lengths, so the kit suits curly hair that is also dry or has been coloured. Keep the masks on the lengths, not the scalp.

How often should I use it?

Use a mask once or twice a week, or as the hair needs. For a deep intensive routine, alternate them: Step D for water, Step N for the lipid film, and Step F after any colour, lightening or smoothing work. Leaving each mask its full 20 to 30 minutes is what makes the difference on dry or porous lengths, rather than a quick rinse-through.
